Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-10-16. Last updated: 2026-10-16.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GCExperts LLC ("we", "us") governing your use of Federal Construction Magazine at federalconstructionmagazine.com ("the Publication"), a trade publication about federal construction law, regulation and decisions for contractors. By subscribing or using the Publication you agree to these Terms.

1. The Publication

The Publication provides editorial coverage and a subscription service for federal construction contractors. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee any particular result from reading it.

2. Editorial content, AI disclosure, and no legal advice

Federal Construction Magazine is researched and drafted by AI editorial desks working under a fixed desk brief, and reviewed before publication by GCExperts LLC. Our writers are not natural persons; no writer is given a biography, a photograph or a claimed credential. The Publication is general information, not legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Events, deadlines and clause text change; verify anything you rely on against the primary source and engage qualified counsel for advice about your own contract.

3. Sources, attribution, and copyright

Our coverage is written in our own words from publicly published analysis and from public decisions and rules. We attribute the originating firm by name and link, cite the underlying decision or rule, and do not reproduce their text beyond short, clearly marked quotations. You may quote and link our editorial work with attribution; you may not resell or redistribute the Publication or its archive.

4. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter this agreement where you live, to hold an account.

5. Subscription, renewals, and refunds

The paid subscription is $99/year, renewing annually until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you paid for. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] within 14 days of the charge and we will review a refund in good faith. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable refund right you have under applicable law.

6. Free sample issue and marketing consent

We offer a free sample issue: a free excerpt of the current monthly issue, clearly labelled as a sample and not the paid issue. To receive it you give us your name, email address and phone number, and you tick a box to accept our email marketing terms. That box is not pre-ticked, and ticking it is a distinct, affirmative action by you. A second, separate box (also not pre-ticked) lets you opt in to marketing calls and texts; leaving it unticked is fine and does not affect the free issue.

If you tick the box, you consent to GCExperts LLC and its associated properties and publications emailing you about Federal Construction Magazine and their other products, services and offers. We keep a record of the wording you accepted, when you accepted it, and a one-way hash of your IP address, so we can show the consent was given. You can withdraw this consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email (or by replying with the word "unsubscribe"), and it takes effect for future messages. Giving this consent is not a condition of receiving the free sample issue.

Calls and texts (separate consent). If you tick the separate call/text box you expressly consent that GCExperts LLC and its associated properties and publications may call or text the phone number you gave — including calls or texts placed with an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice — about Federal Construction Magazine and their other products, services and offers. Message frequency varies (typically up to about 8 messages a month), message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help, or call +1-512-881-4626 to opt out. This consent is not a condition of the free sample issue or of any purchase, and you can withdraw it at any time. We keep a record of the call/text wording you accepted, when you accepted it, and a one-way hash of your IP address.

7. Advertising and circulation

We sell advertising in the Publication. Our rate card states our circulation honestly and does not quote a readership we cannot evidence; verified circulation is published once we can measure it. No prospective advertiser's logo or name appears in a placeholder advertising position. Sponsored content is labelled as such.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to break the law or infringe anyone's rights; impersonate any person or business; attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access; or interfere with the Publication, including by scraping, overloading, or introducing malicious code.

9. Intellectual property

The Publication, its content, and its branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read the Publication for its intended purpose.

10. Third-party services

The Publication relies on third parties such as Stripe for payments and our email provider for delivery. Their terms and privacy practices apply to those parts of the service.

11. Disclaimers

The Publication is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Publication will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any information it contains is accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Publication. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and costs arising from your misuse of the Publication or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Publication and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Publication.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide a prominent notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

17. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
