About Federal Construction Magazine
A trade publication for the people who build federal work: small and mid-size contractors and subcontractors who need to know what a decision or a rule change costs them, and what to do about it before the next bid.
The layer we cover
Federal construction already has a state-law reference, a rule-change tracker and a clause reference. Those are libraries. This is a publication. We cover the decisions layer — what the courts, the boards and GAO actually decided, and what the rulemakers changed — filtered to federal construction and written for the bid on your desk, not for a general counsel's memo. And we take a position, which a law firm cannot, because its readers are its prospects.
How it is written
We read the published analysis of the federal-contracting and construction law firms and the primary sources behind it. Then we write our own short summary, name the firm and link to it, and cite the underlying decision or rule so you can go to the source. We store ingested material privately to prepare our summaries and we do not republish it. Every item ends with a plain line on what it means for your next bid.
Federal Construction Magazine is researched and drafted by AI editorial desks working under a fixed desk brief, and reviewed before publication by GCExperts LLC. Our writers are not natural persons. See the masthead for how that works.
What is free, and what you pay for
The weekly Decisions Desk digest is free and stays free. The $99/year subscription pays for the monthly issue, the full searchable archive, and our stated position. Nothing that is free at launch moves behind the paywall later.
What this is not
It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for counsel on your own contract. It is a publication: what changed, what it means, and where to read the source.
